The Goode
Writing Workshop

I created the The Goode Writing Workshop to serve as a supplement to English and writing classes. With over one hundred writing prompts, the program is designed to provide a creative outlet for students interested in learning how to write stories. Using photographs to stimulate interest, students are guided through several helpful steps involved in writing a fiction story. The program cumulates with a challenge for students to write their own short story.

The simple structure of the program lends itself to modification by students, parents, and teachers. The different sections do not have to be followed in order, and with so many writing prompts, students can pick and choose which activities they wish to do. Although many of the writing prompts can be fun for a person of any age, the program is designed for students in grades seven through ten.

To access the program, click on the link below, which is available as a Google Slide Presentation. Because of the large number of photographs, some of the the sections have been broken into smaller parts to allow for easy access. Part III has three sections, Part IV has four sections,

and Parts V, VI, and VII have two sections each. Unfortunately,

the four sections in Part IV do not appear in the correct order, so pay attention to the numbers and letterings before opening.
